“ We came here twice on our trip. Had the lunch specials that go right up till 5pm which was great because we were there about 4pm one day and it's that annoying time where most places stop serving food at 3pm. Not here though! Staff were friendly, it was nice and warm inside - you could sit where you wanted. Meals were served hot, were huge and delicious! Garlic bread was bloody good, second time we tried it with the cheese dip - do yourself a favour and get it. Only downside is that you wanted more of it haha. Really recommend Monteith's! They were also child friendly - we didn't have any but saw kids there having a great time. I had the fried chicken both times which was delicious and came with a side salad (was huge & great value for $19), husband had ribs the first time and blue cod fish & chips the second - I sampled both and they were really good! ”
“ A group of us had a great dinner here on King's birthday weekend. I have dietary issues and Monteiths were so accommodating and good about it! The waitress Rachael was so understanding and kind about it and worked with the kitchen staff to ensure I had a tasty meal that was safe to eat. Cannot praise their service enough ”
“ First time going to Monteiths. My family of 4 went to Monteiths for dinner and got the Seafood Platter for $85. Came with salad, smoked salmon, seafood soup with prawns and scallops, crumbed prawns, bread, crumbed fish, and mussels. The seafood platter tasted really good and was quite filling. Definitely value for money. ”
“ Great food and service couldn't be faulted. Food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. Great menu selection. ”
“ Fish and chips. No complaints but nothing exceptional. Waited almost an hour for food, I assume it was because we had to wait for my partners steak but not sure. Everyone else around us got their meals before us despite having coming in after we had ordered. Watched people come in, finish their meals and leave before we got our food - yikes! I assume this is just an odd occurrence and I could see everyone else in the restaurant had a good experience so I will not rate negatively. If I’m around Hamner Springs again I would still consider this place for a feed. ”
“ Popped in here after a soak at the hot pools and was absolutely stoked. The food was on point – had the lamb and it was melt-in-ya-mouth good. Missus got the fish and chips, and reckons it was the best she's had in yonks. Big ups to the chef! Service was mint – real friendly crew, no faffing about. Place has a chill vibe, nice and cruisy but still sharp as. Good beer on tap too, can’t complain about that. ”
“ Fa, fab, fab. Great night watch the Rugby live on big screens whilst having a Texas cover Schnitzel and a few pints of Gold lager. The bar was alive watching the match. Service was quick and the food was tasty. Would definitely recommend. ”
